Dog Adoption Event with Subaru of Puyallup!
Wednesday, 16 November, 2022
Every October Subaru of Puyallup participates in Subaru Loves Pets month with an adoption event to celebrate National Make-A-Dog’s Day and help a local animal shelter! This year they partnered with Sunny Sky’s Animal Rescue who recently lost their facility due to a fire and are working hard to continue making adoptions happen, and have shifted to a foster program in order to have a home for all their dogs and cats before they are adopted. With the adoption event, promotions made by Subaru of Puyallup, and other adoption events during the month of October they were able to have 28 dogs successfully adopted!
Each person that applied for adopting a dog at our event received a Bark Box full of new pet parent supplies, $100 was donated for each dog adopted in the month of October, and Subaru of Puyallup and their employees donated pet food!

Supporting Local Classrooms
Wednesday, 26 October, 2022
This August, we fundraised money through test drives for school supplies at Harnish Auto Family, as well as donating to Lincoln High School for Subaru Loves Learning. These campaigns in total allowed us to donate over $15,000 to local schools and teachers to ensure they had an amazing school year!
Volkswagen, Subaru, and Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup all teamed together to donate $10 for every test drive taken to put towards local schools through Donors Choose, a classroom funding site where teachers can share their projects. Together, we raised over $4,000 with donations and matching offers for teachers in the Puyallup and Tacoma area providing things like books, science kits, art supplies, and classroom materials. Chevrolet of Everett also partnered with the Everett Public School Foundation to donate backpacks full of various school supplies to help out different classrooms in the Everett area!
Mrs. Pick from Roosevelt Elementary says, “Thank you so much Subaru of Puyallup for helping my students get materials to love science! These projects are going to be so much fun for them to learn through! I’m excited to offer fun, hands on, engaging projects and lessons! Thanks for your support to my classroom, students, and myself! We appreciate you!”
Donations were made to teachers at Sunrise Elementary in Puyallup, Maple Lawn Elementary in Sumner, Roosevelt Elementary in Tacoma, Edgerton Elementary in Puyallup, Frederickson Elementary in Puyallup, as well as the Puyallup Digital Learning Center and the Everett Public School Foundation. We were excited to be able to provide these various supplies to the teachers in our area to create the best experience for their students this school year. Thank you to all our teachers for all you do for our kids and community, and thank you to our customers who allow us to help our community in this way!

This August, Kia of Everett and the Harnish Auto Family fundraised $11,222 for Providence Children’s Hospice! We donated $1 for every repair order in our service center as well as $50 for every sold car during the whole month of August. Additionally, we were able to open up donations to our customers that wanted to personally donate to the cause at the Providence Children’s Hospice Foundation through a direct donation link.
Providence Children’s Hospice helps to ensure that high quality, compassionate care is continually provided to all those who are dealing with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses, injuries, and conditions in the Snohomish County and Camano Island area. Our donations this past month will benefit the following programs:
Camp Erin: A weekend grief camp for kids, designed to counsel children and teenagers who have experienced the death of a loved one. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities.
Carousel Program: This program is a unique blend of home health, palliative and hospice care, and providing an integrated and tender approach to children and their families. Our caregivers’ focus is always on the child’s quality of life providing support and comfort during a difficult time.
We encouraged guests to leave a message to the kids of Camp Erin and thanks to the Teddy Bear Patrol and Warm 106.9 we were able to donate teddy bears at the end of the month. Providence Children’s Hospice team was able to come to our showroom where we presented their check to them from the entire Kia of Everett team. We are so grateful to have had the chance to support this foundation and are thankful to our customers who helped make this possible for us! Thank you for continually supporting us so we can give back to our community in this way.

Honoring Dan Rocha
Thursday, 22 September, 2022
On July 16th, Chevrolet of Everett hosted the first ever all Chevrolet car show at Chevrolet of Everett in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Camaro Club in memoriam of Dan Rocha, a City of Everett Police Officer who lost his life in the line of duty. Dan Rocha was an amazing and selfless man, we were so honored to host this year’s All Chevy Car Show in honor of him. All the proceeds of this event were donated to his memorial fund which goes to support his family in this difficult time. This event was a hit and it was so great to see all the different cars people brought in and the stories that were shared right along with those cars. We look forward to more car shows like this one in the future!
This annual All Chevrolet Car Show is put on to bring awareness to our fallen officers, and thanks to our awesome donations and partnerships we were able to donate over $5,000! Chevrolet of Everett is actively involved in creating a stronger community and better experience, thank you to all our donors and our customers for supporting us and this event. Most importantly, thank you to the Everett Police Department for their dedication to serving and protecting the Everett community.

Supporting Local Kiwanis Club at Harnish Auto Family
Wednesday, 21 September, 2022
This August Volkswagen of Puyallup, Subaru of Puyallup, and Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup attended the local Kiwanis Club of Daffodil Valley’s “Cruise in for Youth” car show. Our dealerships showcased three Volkswagens and gave some Subaru and VW swag and 10 Harnish Auto Family buckets full of car supplies and some branded merchandise from our dealerships! All the proceeds of this raffle went towards funding local high school scholarships.
It was so fun to see all the cars brought to this event and support such a great cause that provides programs for the generation of tomorrow. We look forward to more community events like this one!
